The Burr Oak B&B.  It is contemporary and casual with gleaming hardwood floors and white woodwork that brightens the senses.  There are two guest rooms each with their own guest bath, one in-room.  A sitting lounge and kitchenette are located on the second floor.  A hearty continental breakfast is served seven days per week.  Extended stays are the specialty here with big discounts available.  Inn-keeper quarters are separate from the guests.  

 


Wikstrom Manor

Designed and built by E. Axel Wikstrom in 1892 to accomodate dignitaries from his homeland of Sweden.  Known as the Villa Swea, it was used as a gathering place for visiting diplomats and local socialites.  After the death of the Wikstrom's, the home was operated by the Sisters Servants of the Hold Heart of Mary and known as the "Villa Maria" boarding school for preschool children.
