The Gretchen Charlton
Art Gallery is accepting work for its Fourth Annual
Juried College Student Art Exhibit. Artwork previously shown at Gretchen
Art Gallery will not be accepted. Artists may submit up to two works
with a
$15.00 nonrefundable fee per work (2 for $25.00, limit two). This exhibit
is
open to college and university students who are currently enrolled for
spring, summer, or fall semester of 2004.
Acceptable media
must be two-dimensional no larger than four feet tall and
six feet wide. Work may include drawings, paintings, mixed media,
printmaking, digital imagery and photography. All entries must be framed
and wired for hanging. Artwork that needs protection should be covered
with
Plexiglas, not glass. A prospectus stating further requirements is
available upon request from Linda Powles, Gallery Director, Provena
Heritage
Village, 901 North Entrance Avenue, Kankakee, IL.
The show will open
May 27 and run through June 25, 2004. There will be
opening reception on May 27, 2004 from 6:30pm - 8:30pm with Juror's
Awards
presentation at 7:00pm. The First Place award is $200.00, Second Place
$125.00 and Third Place $75.00.
Work may be submitted
May 13-17, 2004 from 9:00am - 5:00pm on weekdays, and
9:00am - 1:00pm on the weekend. No late entries will be accepted.
Following the close of the show, work must be picked up between June
26-30,
2004.
Art can be delivered
to the reception desk at Provena Heritage Village or

The Gretchen Charlton
Art Gallery is free and open daily to the public. The
Gallery is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide
opportunity for members of the community, as well as the resident of
Provena
Heritage Village, to learn and develop a deeper appreciation of the
arts.
