Event: White Elephant Auction and Dime Social Date: May 5, 2004 Time: 7:00pm - 9:00pm Location: Church of Good Shepherd Contact: "One man's junk...another man's treasure" will ring true at the "White Elephant Auction and Dime Social planned by the Church of the good Shepherd Wednesday, May 5, 2004. The evening begins at 7:00pm and runs until 9:00pm. A "White Elephant" is an item - kick knack, bric-a-brac, toys, costume jewelry, etc..., that one person no longer wants or finds useful; therefore wishing to sell the item. At the Dime Social "white elephants" will be sold by silent bid. To bid on a particular item the bidder places one or more of his tickets in the container for that item. Throughout the evening tickets are drawn from the various items and the winning ticket purchases that item. The evening will also be a social time and each person attending will be given a free ticket for refreshments. There is no entry fee and bid tickets are 10 for $1.00. The evening should be entertaining and fun so mark your calendar. Church of the Good Shepherd is a located at Locust and Second in Momence, IL. Enter the sale from the Locust Street side.
