The Grand Marshals for the 2004 Bourbonnais Friendship Festival Sunday Grand
Parade on June 27, 2004 have been chosen. Going along wit the theme of the
festival, "Bourbonnais Goes Hollywood!", the marshals are four people who
have been connected with the arts for many years in this community.

Harriet and Harlow Hopkins, Lana Weiss-Brown, and Wayne Segneri were the
choices of the committee.

Harriet Hopkins taught music in the Bourbonnais Elementary School District
for many years before her retirement. Dr. Harlow Hopkins headed the music
department at Olivet Nazarene University for many years.

Lana Weiss-Brown, communications and public relations director for Bradley
Bourbonnais Community High School, taught speech, drama and mime teacher.
She, also, taught English and journalism.

Wayne Sefneri, owner of the Children's Corner Pre-School, has been an actor
and director with the Kankakee Valley Theater for more than 25 years.

The 2004 Bourbonnais Friendship Festival will be held from Wednesday, June
23 - Sunday, June 27, 2004. The Festival grounds are located in the village
of Bourbonnais at Route 102 and William R. Latham Drive.

Miss Friendship
It's that time of year, again! The selection of the young woman who will be
crowned Miss Friendship at the opening of the 2004 Bourbonnais Friendship
Festival is rapidly approaching. Miss Friendship will reign from June 2004
to June 2005.

To be eligible, contestants must be residents of Bourbonnais Township and/or
Village of Bourbonnais, IL. they must be 16-21 years of age and of good
moral character.

The pageant will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2004 at Northfield Square
Mall in Bradley,IL.

New Event at the Friendship Festival - LITTLE MISS FRIENDSHIP!
New to the festival fun this year is the Little Miss Friendship competition.
Young ladies from 9 years through 15 who are residents of the village and/or
Bourbonnais Township are eligible. The competition will be an election.
The winner will be the girl who tallies the most votes cast during the Miss
Friendship competition on June 19th at Northfield Square Mall. For more
