Perry Farm Kite festival reaches for new heights:
ORGANIZERS EXPECT HIGH-FLYING ANNUAL EVENT TO PULL IN BIGGEST CROWDS EVER!

THOUSANDS of people are expected to turn out to make a festival at Perry
Farm Park in Bourbonnais, IL a soaraway success.

Organizers of the Perry Farm Kite Festival, which is now in its fourth
year, are praying for a few gusts of wind.

Professional kiters, such as Chicago Fire Kite Team, Chromatic Kite Display,
Hot Rod Kite, and Sparling Kite Entertainment will be entertaining the
crowds with demonstrations and stunt displays and local people are being
invited to bring along their own kites too.

Sarah Winkel, Recreation Supervisor for Bourbonnais Township Park District,
said the festival was now a major tourist attraction for the area and gets
bigger each year.

She said: "When the festival started it was fairly low key but people were
very interested and there were all these closet kite flyers who came out and
now there are thousands who come throughout the day.

"Some of the kites are very basic but some weigh thousands of pounds" One
so large it must be weighted down by a garbage truck!

Youngsters who go along to the event on Saturday or Sunday will be able to
make their own kites at workshops or buy one at the park.

The Largest Kite in the United States will be displayed brought to us by
Sparling Kite Entertainment from Naperville, IL.

The event is from 10am to 4pm. Admission is free. There are some costs for
attractions.
