On the first Saturday of December each year, Downtown Momence is transformed into a Christmas wonderland, with a day-long festival featuring children's activities, holiday music, horse-drawn carriage rides, and much more! The celebration of the Community Tree Lighting ceremony happens during the Christmas Gathering each year. The Main Street office on the NW corner of Dixie Highway and West Washington Street becomes the Welcome and Warming Center for the festival.
