For three generations, the Crite family has been making some of the best bbq around. It began with Ken Crite’s grandfather’s restaurants in Chicago in the 1960’s. After he and Ken’s father brought their BBQ skills and family recipes to our area in the 1970’s. “Crite’s cooking” quickly became an area legend for southern style bbq. Their distinctive bbq was in demand when catering family parties and business events and was sought after favorite at many fairs and festivals. Using the over 100 year old family recipe, the “Crite’s cooking” tradition continues. Join them for award-winning “southern style cooking at its best” at their new restaurant Que It Up Café. Located at 2005 West Court Street in Kankakee. Open Tuesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner.
